The Shadowing Internship is a four-day program for undergraduate and graduate students, and gives interns an opportunity to observe and participate in all aspects of the firm.  Selected participants will spend the week rotating through the SOM departments to provide a well-rounded perspective on the work of the firm and the day-to-day experience of SOM design professionals.  The program gives invaluable experience, mentorship and guidance to talented students who plan to pursue a career in architecture or related fields.

In past years the program has only taken place in SOM’s New York office, but this year we have opened it up to include the Chicago, London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Shanghai and Washington D.C. offices.  We depend on our network of colleagues and peers to identify and recommend potential interns.  Please encourage students to apply to any of the offices.  Students should visit the job portal on SOM’s Career Center website for more detailed information on how to apply.  Students are required to submit a resume, cover letter and 3-4 work samples by 12 pm on November 28th in order to be considered.
