The following is a message from Jane Moran Alspach to all ASCE members:
Dear Distinguished Members,
As the Society gets ready to induct a new class of Distinguished Members, I am reminded of how inspired Student Members are by the Distinguished Member videos we show at the Celebration of Leaders Luncheon. I often hear how proud students are to study with faculty members who are also Distinguished Members.
With a new academic year starting, it is a good time for ASCE to reach out to all Student Members to encourage their application for scholarships/fellowships. With the deadline coming up on February 10, 2017, it occurs to me you may know Student Members who will be searching for financial support. Please be so kind as to share the attached flyer describing ASCE’s scholarship program.
I hope you will feel free to post it at your university or share it with colleagues who may be able to publicize this opportunity.
Thank you for your consideration of this suggestion.
