The deadline for student paper competition submissions is FEBRUARY 5. Students must submit a 350-word (max) abstract and an executive summary of at least 1,200 words (so the committee will have a better idea of the paper you would be writing, if chosen). $500 prize awarded + travel stipend and a presentation slot at the annual conference in Seattle this September.

The undergraduate scholarship application deadline is MARCH 30. Prizes have ranged between $5,000 and $10,000 in recent years!

The Chicago Chapter of CMAA will award five scholarships of $1,000 each to undergraduate and graduate students in a construction program in 2018.  I would appreciate it if you could forward this message and its attachments to the students in your program at U of I.

The deadline for application is April 1.  The award ceremony will take place at the May meeting of the Chicago Chapter.  I encourage all construction students at U of I to apply.  The application form and the award rules and attached to this email.  Students should mail their applications to my address below, or email the completed form and its attachments to arditi@iit.edu before April 1.

Introduction to key concepts for the sustainable design of buildings and landscapes, including concepts that form the core of the U.S Green Building Council rating system (LEED). Introduction to LEED accreditation.
