The Sustainability, Energy, and Environment Fellows Program (SEE FP) is a campuswide undergraduate minor that prepares students for pursuing careers in the corporate sector, nonprofit organizations, government agencies and environmental advocacy groups. Administered by the Institute for Sustainability, Energy, and Environment (iSEE), this minor will help you develop a systems-level perspective of the economic, environmental and social dimensions of sustainability to help you navigate them. It's a great addition to any technical degree!

Join them for an info session on Tuesday, September 6 to learn more about the program and to get tips for a successful enrollment application. Can’t make the session? Look them up online: http://bit.ly/SEE-fp

Attached is a requisition list with links to open jobs that AECOM will be interviewing for at their Fantastic Friday hiring event in Chicago on September 15th and 16th.

Fantastic Friday is basically an invitation-only recruiting event where AECOM plans to make numerous hires across our several disciplines, including: Environment, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Construction Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Water, etc!  It’s super fun and well received by students.  It begins with a mixer on Thursday evening and interviews on Friday.

Recent graduates, and even those looking for internships, are welcome to apply. They have several internship opportunities on this list and many of these entry-level positions have flexible start dates (ie, dates that can occur after graduation).

Please apply into these links by September 2nd to be considered.

In response to requests from undergraduate students seeking research experiences with faculty, the CEE Department has sponsored UG hourly research assistants to work with CEE faculty since Spring 2012.  The purpose of the program is to:  (1) expose top UG students to research, and (2) encourage CEE faculty to engage UG students in research early in their academic career.  While the CEE REU program targets UIUC CEE students, some support is also available for a small number of non-CEE or non-UIUC students, if well justified.

Full details are in the attached document from Prof. LaFave
