Management of sediment contamination in water bodies is a highly complex problem, involving numerous physical, chemical, and biological processes operating in a multitude of environmental settings. To aid in developing and evaluating cost-effective strategies for sediment management, efficient and effective predictive tools are needed. The objective of this project is to identify available computer models and to evaluate which models might be most appropriate for managing potential sediment management scenarios. Once available models are evaluated, recommendations will be made regarding the need for development/modification of sediment management tools in future project(s).
