Q7.

Why are most of the buttons in the left toolbar buttons disabled? Are they not available yet?

All the buttons in the left toolbar are available. They are disabled because they are context sensitive. Context sensitive buttons are buttons that are only enabled in certain conditions. For example, the (Assign Bearing Plates) and (Assign Boundary Conditions) buttons will only be enabled after one or more STM Nodes are selected from the active display window. Another important example is the drawing and editing tool buttons, such as the (Draw Inner D-Region Boundaries), (Edit D-Region Boundaries), (Draw STM Elements), and (Drag STM Elements or Nodes) buttons. They are only enabled after the Outer Boundary is created using the (Draw Outer D-Region Boundary) button. The button itself will be disabled once the Outer Boundary is created.
