Engineering Open House Display Receives Award

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) display at the Engineering Open House tied for First Place in the “Back to School” category.

The award recognized the ITE display which included interactive learning experiences for EOH attendees on a variety of transportation related topics. The major attractions included (a) Reaction Time and Glare Recovery Time Measurements, (b) Display of Pavement Types and Materials, (c) Interactive Quiz on Traffic Signs, and (d) Display of Traffic Control and Safety Devices.

ITE also presented videos of crash restraint systems as well as highway and bridge constructions. The current ITE officers include Godfrey Mwesige (President), Robert Tegge (Vice-President), Eshan Dave (General Secretary), and Mathew Beyer (Treasurer).

ITE would really like to recognize the volunteers and ITE members who helped make the EOH display possible. This list includes: Sara Alzate, Andrew Braham, Phil Donovan, Xiaopeng Li, Juan Medina, Geoff Roberts and others.
