He will take office on February 1, 2016, and serve a two-year term. He is currently finishing his term as the organization’s Vice President.

ISCP’s mission is to facilitate the advancement of knowledge and technology related to concrete pavements through education, technology transfer and research at an international level. The society was conceived in 1997 and held its first organizational meeting during the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board in 1998. CEE at Illinois Professor Emeritus Ernest J. Roesler joined the faculty in 2000 and teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in pavement engineering. His research interests include concrete pavement design and analysis, shrinkage and creep of concrete, fatigue and fracture of concrete, continuously reinforced concrete pavements, effects of curling and warping on concrete pavement responses, characterizing concrete joint behavior, accelerated pavement testing of PCC, and fibrous concrete.
