For being instrumental in setting examples of how the forward-thinking concepts of lean construction, virtual design and construction (VDC), and sustainability can be fused into project delivery techniques to maximize construction productivity while reducing the carbon footprint; for helping clients and owners adopt Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approaches to keep their mission-critical projects on budget and on schedule; and for making a profound impact on promoting the role of women in the construction industry.

Biography

Jody graduated with her B.S. in Civil Engineering in December 1986 and has spent the last 35 years in the construction industry. She joined DPR Construction as a Project Manager in 1997 and currently serves as Executive Vice President and Management Committee member. Jody leads DPR’s Northwest region, with offices in the San Francisco Bay Area, Sacramento, and Seattle, in delivering projects across the advanced technology, life sciences, healthcare, higher education and commercial markets. Currently ranked #10 on ENR’s Top Contractors listing, DPR is a forward-thinking global contractor and construction manager specializing in technically complex and sustainable projects. Jody also serves as the executive sponsor for DPR’s Ethics and Integrity Compliance Team and its Global Social Responsibility team focusing on advancing DEI, sustainability, supplier diversity and community initiatives across DPR. Jody met her husband, Colin (LAS ’87), at U of I. They have three children and reside in Menlo Park, CA.
